About We.repair

We.repair was founded in early 2025 by Klaas, Koen, and Filip, with the mission of extending the lifespan of electrical equipment by making repairs better, easier, and faster. 

Klaas and Koen have over 30 years of experience in the electronics sector and have witnessed firsthand how the mountain of e-waste continues to grow each year, despite many initiatives - this can be improved, but action is needed.

Furthermore, we want to provide the heroes of repair - the technicians - the correct support. Fair remuneration and the use of modern technology are, in our opinion, crucial pillars for a sustainable repair sector.

Klaas was until recently the customer service director at Miele, a well-known brand of household appliances.

With over 6 years of experience at senior management and executive level in Field Service & Appliances at Miele and Coca-Cola, Klaas is an expert in customer experience, field repairs, and maintenance of technical devices.

Previously, Klaas gained 20 years of relevant experience in supply chain and planning.

Koen was working for many years for consumer electronics brands such as Sony and Smeg in both large and small household appliances, IT and audio-visual equipment. Through his representation within Recupel, Koen witnessed the first recycling and reuse initiatives in Belgium for many years and built a network in the sector. Koen's personal mission is to give repair a more prominent place in the industry and to promote reuse together with manufacturers and retailers.
