Code
- E33
- E34
Cause
Inconsistency with the dry boil protection.
If your AEG washing machine displays the error code E33 or E34, this almost always indicates a problem with the pressure sensor (also known as a pressostat or level switch) or a problem with the water level..
These sensors measure how much water is in the washing machine. This is an important safety feature: the machine must know exactly when there is enough water to activate the heating element. Without this check, the machine could 'dry boil' or overflow.
What do the codes mean?
Error code E33: There is a signal difference (inconsistency) between the analogue pressure sensor and the dry boil protection. This means that the different sensors measuring the water level do not agree with each other.
Error code E34: The value of the analogue pressure sensor does not match that of the digital pressostat..
Solution
- Inspect both pressure switches.
- Check for current leakage from the heating element. The leakage current can disrupt the sensitive electronics of the pressure sensor, causing the machine to generate these error codes.
- Replace the heating element, the switches, or the PCB wiring.
