Where can I find small objects like buttons, hairpins, coins, and remove them from my washing machine?
Answer
Some models of washing machines are equipped with a self-cleaning drainage system.
These washing machines have a door seal designed to catch all objects such as coins, buttons, hairpins, etc. before they have the chance to leave the drum and make their way to the drainage area.
Light fluffy fibres that fall from the clothing are immediately washed away with the water.
For these washing machine models, it is sufficient to regularly check the rubber door seal for any remaining objects and then remove these objects.
Cleaning the filter (for models with an accessible filter):
Open the door flap (located in the bottom right corner of the device).
Turn the filter to the left without removing it. Allow the water to drain away. Note, provide a catchment tray (for example, an oven tray).
Then turn the filter to the left and remove it completely from the filter cavity.
Remove lint and other objects from the filter cavity.
Check if the pump impeller can rotate in the filter cavity.
Clean the filter that you removed under the tap
Place the filter back into the designated guide. Tighten the filter securely to prevent leakage.
