What does it mean?

The washing machine is not getting water or is getting too little water. The wash programme cannot start or is interrupted.

• Low water pressure (below 0.5 bar)

Samsung washing machine 4E, 4C or nF — no water supply

What does it mean?

The washing machine is not pumping the water away or not quickly enough. Water remains in the drum. nd (no drain) is the same error message, just displayed differently on certain models.

Possible causes:

• The fluff filter is clogged (coins, buttons, hair ties)
• The drain hose is kinked or inserted too deeply into the drain pipe (siphon effect)
• The drain pump is defective or blocked

What can you do yourself?

1. Turn off the washing machine and unplug it.
2. Open the flap at the bottom right of the front of the machine.
3. Place a container under the flap to catch water.
4. Pull out the small emergency drain hose and remove the cap — let the residual water run out.
5. Unscrew the pump filter (to the left) and remove it completely.
6. Remove fluff, coins, buttons or other debris.
7. Check if the pump impeller can turn freely.
8. Screw the filter back in (to the right) and close the flap.
9. Check that the drain hose is not kinked and does not extend more than 15 cm into the drain pipe.
10. Reconnect the machine and start a drain programme.

Samsung washing machine UE or UB — washing machine does not spin due to imbalance

What does it mean?

The drum is unevenly loaded. The machine stops spinning because the imbalance is too great. Samsung machines are more sensitive in this regard than other brands — they prefer to stop rather than continue vibrating.

Possible causes:

• Small or light wash load (one heavy item of clothing such as jeans or a towel)
• Laundry has gathered on one side of the drum
• Washing machine is not level

1. Open the door, shake the laundry loose and distribute it evenly in the drum.

What does it mean?

What does it mean?

• Mould formation that has affected the rubber
