What does the error code on my Siemens dishwasher mean?🚨
Have you cleaned the filters and tried a reset (by pressing the start button for 3 to 5 seconds), but the display still shows a code? Siemens dishwashers are equipped with smart sensors that indicate exactly where the problem lies.
Below you will find an overview of the most common Siemens error codes (such as E15, E19, or E22) and what you can do to resolve them.
This is not a fault.
The dishwasher sensor does not detect salt tablets. Please use a different type of salt (not tablets).
Siemens Dishwasher Screen is flashing
This is not a fault.
The door of your dishwasher is not properly closed.
Please try closing the door again. If this does not work, check to see if any items are protruding from the basket and could be blocking the door.

This is not a fault.
This may occur when there is no salt or rinse aid left or when the sensor does not detect the salt tablets.
You need to refill the salt or rinse aid and, if necessary, use a different type of salt.
Please consult your user manual for more information regarding water hardness.

Siemens Dishwasher E14
The appliance has activated the water protection system because a problem with the water has been detected.
Check the water connection, the connection of the drain hose to the siphon, and also check for any kinked hoses (often the case under a countertop). The drain hose should not hang too high.
At least 10 litres of water per minute (about one large bucket) should come from the tap when you disconnect the supply hose from the dishwasher.
Clean the filter combination of your appliance:
This is located in the tub (under the lower spray arm).
Unscrew the filter from the sink, remove any loose parts where possible, and rinse food residues away in the sink.
It is best to scrub well with a brush under running water to clear the small openings.
Check the space under the filter:
Watch out for sharp objects such as glass shards. It is best to wear protective gloves and possibly use a spoon.
First check the space directly under the filter for foreign objects and remove them.
Remove the cover of the drain pump by prying it up or pushing a flap away.
Check the cover for foreign objects and check if the impeller turns smoothly.
Replace the cover of the drain pump and ensure it clicks securely into place.
Install the filter and screw it back into the sink. Marked arrows should face each other.

Turn off the water supply tap.
You probably cannot resolve this quickly and safely by yourself. Book an appointment online directly above or below.

Siemens Dishwasher E31
Error in the drying system.

Siemens Dishwasher Water Tap (LED) / check water supply
The water flow rate is too low.
First, check the hose for kinks.
Check the flow rate of the tap with a bucket. The flow rate should be at least 10L (approximately one large bucket full) per minute.
If the flow rate is too low, it is best to contact a plumber.
The water tap may be calcified, which could be causing the low flow rate.
The filter of the water supply or the Aqua-stop hose may be blocked.
Turn off the tap.
Dismantle the supply hose from the tap.
Clean the cover and filters with a small brush under running water.
Note: the Aqua-stop safety feature contains an electric valve. Do not immerse in water!
In appliances without Aqua-stop, remove the hose from the back of your appliance, take out the filters and cover with pliers, and clean them.
Reconnect the hose and check for leaks.
Can't resolve the error code yourself? Call in a professional!👨🔧
Some error codes can be easily fixed by yourself, for example by removing a kink from the drain hose. However, for many codes (such as the well-known E15 leakage error or a fault with the heat pump), the machine needs to be opened. Without the right technical knowledge and measuring equipment, you could cause more damage or create unsafe situations with water and electricity.

Prevention is better than cure: 3 Essential Maintenance Tips💡
Many faults (and the associated error codes) arise simply from a lack of maintenance. By regularly performing these three simple steps, you can significantly extend the lifespan of your appliance and avoid unnecessary repair costs:
Clean the filters weekly:The filter is located at the bottom of the dishwasher. Food residues and grease can quickly accumulate here, which can lead to drainage problems (often error code E24 or E25). Remove the filter and rinse it under warm water with a bit of dish soap.
Check the spray arms:Sometimes the small holes in the spray arms get blocked by limescale or dirt. You can often easily click these arms off. Carefully poke through the blocked holes with a toothpick and rinse them out.
Descale and degrease regularly:Run your dishwasher on the hottest programme (without dishes!) once a month with a special machine cleaner. This removes grease and limescale build-up in the pipes and protects the heating element.
